Saint Louis University to Host Nurse Practitioner Conference on September 6

A Nurse Practitioner Conference hosted by Saint Louis University alumna Trudy Busch Valentine at Grant's Farm will be Wednesday, Sept. 6.
The conference focus is "Controversies in Nurse Practitioner Education, Practice, and Management." This conference is designed for nurse practitioners, as well as nurse practitioner program directors and managers.
The keynote speaker will be Pamela Cacchione, Ph.D. Cacchione is a Nursing School grad ('98) and a professor of Geropsychiatric Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania.
The conference also will feature the following panel discussions:
- Education, certification and hiring of the nurse practitioner
- Role development
- Preceptorship challenges
The conference will be at Grant's Farm Carriage House (10501 Gravois Road, St. Louis, MO 63123). • Check-in begins at 12:30 p.m.
Registration includes refreshments and dinner. The event is $50 per attendee, with limited $25 special student pricing. All attendees will receive three Continuing Education Units.
