Events Scheduled for Wellness Day

There will be no undergraduate or graduate classes on Friday, Feb. 10, for the spring 2023 Wellness Day. A number of events have been planned on campus for members of the University community.
Full Schedule
- Hot Chocolate Bar and Mental Health: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Morrissey Hall outside by
the chess piece.
- Stop by the hot chocolate bar and chat with faculty, students, and interns about mental health.
- Free STI Testing: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Marchetti East Lower Level.
- Free STI testing at the Student Health Center, appointments are preferred, but some drop-in slots will be available.
- Fill Your Cup Yoga and Reflection: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Mind Body Room in the
Simon Recreation Center.
- Take a moment to fill your cup and join a yoga class for a guided reflection on self-care. The class is offered by Karla D. Scott, Ph.D. Communications, and Becca Muder, Campus Ministry.
- Mental Health Advocacy Day: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Wuller 204, the Center for Social
Action.
- In conjunction with Aspire Advocates, this event will have participants write emails, make calls and create social media posts to spread awareness around mental health access in Missouri. Scripts and information will be provided along with snacks and a space to be in community.
- Noon Time Hoops: Noon in the Simon Rec Center.
- Faculty and staff will take part in their weekly basketball game. All are welcome.
- Wellness Panel of Experts: Noon to 1:30 p.m., in Lee Lecture Hall.
- Join in a question and answer panel with experts in the wellness field. Topics will include diet, exercise, meditation, prayer, counseling and more.
- DPS Carpool Karaoke : Noon to 2:30 p.m.
- Participants can take a quick ride with DPS and perform their favorite karaoke songs. Meet at the Busch Student Center's Billiken Grill.
- Temporary Tattoo Parlor and Balloons: Noon to 4 p.m. in the BSC North Lower Lobby.
- The Student Activities Board and the Student Involvement Center will host Susan's Temporary Tattoo Parlor and Balloons by Lester for some balloon creations and temporary tattoos.
- Always Remember You Are Braver: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the BSC North Entrance Breezeway.
- Pop by to get a little love and a free gift from the Billiken Parent and Family Association. This is open to all current students.
- Make Dark Days Brighter Palentines: 2 p.m. in Davis-Shaughnessy Room 260.
- This event will be a Valentine's Day hangout with love ones, friends and pals. Participants will decorate Valentine's Day cookies and write love letters.
- Comedian Eric O'Shea: 7 p.m. in the BSC St. Louis Room.
- The Student Involvement Center will present comedian Eric O'Shea. With more than 10 million hits on YouTube, O'Shea is a well-known comedian. He has performed at more than 1,800 colleges.
