Candidates for Languages, Literatures & Cultures Chair Hosting Job Talks

Three candidates for the chair position of the Department of Languages, Literatures & Cultures will be hosting job talks on campus in January. The first event will be Tuesday, Jan. 24. 

Luciano Picanço, Ph.D., Western Illinois University, will present “Role and Vision of a chairperson of a multi-language, multicultural department” on Tuesday, Jan. 24, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Busch Student Center, room 251A. 

The second job talk will be Thursday, Jan. 26, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., also in BSC room 251A. André Zampaulo, Ph.D., California State University, Fullerton, will present “Rising to the Challenge: Innovation and Diversity in Languages, Literatures, and Cultures.” 

The final job talk will be from Alex Hertich, Ph.D. Bradley University. He will present "Exercises in Translation" in on Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in BSC room 251A

All three job talks will be followed by a Q&A session and a reception. All are open to the University community.
