Fresh Gatherings Café Selling Holiday Turkeys, Rolls and More

Fresh Gatherings Café + Farm, operated by the Saint Louis University Nutrition and Dietetics department, is again selling turkeys this holiday season. This year, Fresh Gatherings will also offer rolls, eggs, cranberry relish and turkey stock.
The turkeys are broad-breasted, pasture-raised white turkeys from Buttonwood Farms in California, MO. The turkeys are raised with no growth hormones or antibiotics, are fresh and never frozen, and removed from pasture for processing a day before delivery.
In addition to turkeys, customers can order large eggs, cranberry relish with local horseradish, house-made turkey stock and Hokkaido milk rolls.
Order pickup will be in Fresh Gatherings Café on the ground floor of SLU’s Allied Health Professions Building on Monday, Nov. 20 or Tuesday, Nov. 21, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Orders with dinner rolls will be ready beginning at noon on Monday, Nov. 20.
The deadline for orders is 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12.

Pastured Turkeys - $5.20 per pound
- Hens weigh around 17 pounds +/- 3 pounds.
- Toms weigh around 21 pounds +/- 3 pounds and sometimes bigger.
Pastured Whole Turkey Breasts - $9.50 per pound
- Average 7-10 pounds.
Pastured Large Eggs - $5.00 per dozen
- Large brown eggs fresh from the farm.
House Made Turkey Stock - $10.00 per quart - gluten free
- Great for gravy and dressing.
Cranberry Relish with Local Horseradish - $15 per pint - gluten free, vegan
- Chef Karly’s special recipe.
Hokkaido Milk Rolls - $15.00 per dozen - vegetarian
- A variation on classic dinner rolls, often featured with Fresh Gatherings' fried chicken sandwiches.
