Nominations Open for 2024 Black History Month Gala and Awards Ceremony

Members of the SLU community may now submit nominations for awards to be given out at the 2024 Black History Month Gala and Awards Ceremony presented by the Cross Cultural Center for Global Citizenship.
The Black History Month Gala and Awards Ceremony aims to recognize and celebrate the achievements and successes of Black faculty, staff, students, and leaders at Saint Louis University.
Six awards will be given at the ceremony. The awards are:
- Emerging Leaders award
- Outstanding Graduate award
- The Dr. Jonathan C. Smith Faculty/Staff Appreciation Award
- The Gamechanger Award
- The Mkeka award
- The Black and Bold Award
Members of the SLU community may submit nominations by filling out the Google form. Descriptions of each award can be found on the nomination form. The deadline to submit a nomination is Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024.
The event will be on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, at 7 p.m. in the Center for Global Citizenship located on North Campus. To RSVP for the gala, register by Friday, February 10, 2024.
