Interfaith Action Virtual Panel Will Be October 25

A virtual panel, Interfaith Action: Promoting Peace & Social Justice in Higher Education, will be at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25, on Zoom.
The panel, featuring members of the SLU community from different faith backgrounds, will discuss how to promote peaceful, healthy dialogue and activism for people of varied faiths and cultures on college campuses.

The panel will discuss tools and strategies, and what are peace-centered strategies universities can use that respect various faiths, cultures, and lived experiences, while also supporting students' development, their emerging perspectives, and activism.
The featured panelists are:
- Farah Habli, Ph.D., SLU Graduate Admission Office and International Scholar (Muslim);
- Harold Braswell, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Healthcare Ethics and SLU Bicentennial Fellow (Jewish); and
- David Oughton, Ph.D., Retired Associate Professor of Religion (SLU) and Interfaith Partnership of Greater Saint Louis (Christian).
The panel will be moderated by Dannielle Joy Davis, Ph.D., (Christian), Professor of Higher Education, editor and contributing author of the book "United We Stand: The Role of Spirituality in Engaging and Healing Communities"
