Banned Book Panel Discussion Is Wednesday

09/29/2023

The Saint Louis University Libraries are hosting a panel during Banned Books Week.

The panel, "Banned: How books bans and censorship impact education, culture and democracy," will be at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4, in the Pius Library Second Floor Gallery.

A virtual option also will be available.

The panel discussion will focus on how young adult book bans and censorship impact education, culture, and democracy. The panel seeks to inform attendees about what's going on and how they can take action to ensure that everyone has the right to read.

The event is open to all SLU students, staff, and faculty. Light refreshments will be provided.
