At the close of the day on Friday, Dec. 20, Saint Louis University will begin its winter break. Before looking ahead to the new year, SLU's award-winning photographer Sarah Conroy shares some of her favorite images she captured during 2024.

Conroy has received multiple awards this year for her work capturing life at SLU. A member of the University Photographers’ Association of America, Conroy received three awards in the organization's 2024 Annual Photo Competition. There were more than 500 entries in the contest and Conroy received 3 of 53 awards. 

Seven of the photos in this gallery earned awards in the University Photographers Association's monthly contest. Additionally Conroy won the gold medal for the second straight year for photography in the University and College Designers Association annual contest. 

Saint Louis University will return from its winter break on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. The spring 2025 semester will begin with the first day of classes on Monday, Jan. 12, 2025.
