Billiken Bounty Seeks Donations, Volunteers
02/02/2024
Billiken Bounty is seeking donations of food and money and volunteers to help with an increase in visitors.
In partnership with the Center for Social Action and the Dean of Students Office, Billiken Bounty is a safe place for those who need groceries to obtain them. Located in the Center for Global Citizenship, Billiken Bounty is a place where SLU students can choose from a variety of grocery items and healthy foods.
Billiken Bounty has seen an increase in usage in recent months. The pantry operates on donations — either items or money. The money is used to purchase items to fill the shelves.
The most needed items are:
- Tide Pods
- cooking oil
- feminine hygiene products
- cereal
- bread
- rice
- paper towels
- pasta
- toilet paper
- macaroni and cheese
- condiments
- canned fruits and vegetables
Donations of food and supplies can be dropped off during Billiken Bounty's open hours in Room 226 of the CGC. Billiken Bounty is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
Monetary donations can be made online.
Anyone interested in volunteering at the pantry can fill out the Google document.
