Three-Minute Thesis Competition Winners Announced

The Office of Graduate Education held its Annual Three-Minute Thesis Competition on Wednesday, Feb. 21, for doctoral and master's candidates who have successfully passed their prospectus proposal. Participants had three minutes to present their research and show the audience what it means and why it matters.
The competition offered prizes in both categories: $750 for first place, $500 for second place and $250 for third place.

Master’s Category
- First Place: Mawufemor Amuzu – Communication

Doctoral Category
- First Place: Emily Morris – Biology
Thesis: Tropical Urban Bees and Their Interactions - Second Place: Ashley Dent - Chemistry
Thesis: Novel Protecting Groups for Hydrogen-Bond-Mediated Aglycone Delivery - Third Place: Fatma Mufti - Pharmacological and Physiological Sciences
