Advanced Health Data Research Institute Launches New Biostatistics Core

The Advanced Health Data Research Institute has launched a brand-new Biostatistics Core. The Core is a pivotal addition to the institution that promises to revolutionize the way SLU conducts research in the field of medical science. 

The establishment of this Core was made possible by the leadership team, which includes Chris Jacobs, M.D., Vice President of Medical Affairs and Dean of the School of Medicine, Leslie Hinyard, Ph.D., Department Chair for the Department of Health and Clinical Outcomes Research, and Linda Waller, Director of Business Strategy.

The Biostatistics Core is a specialized unit dedicated to providing comprehensive biostatistical support to researchers, faculty, and students. The group is staffed with a team of highly skilled biostatisticians who are equipped to help navigate the complex world of data analysis and statistical methodology.

In the fast-paced world of medicine and research, understanding and interpreting data is paramount. The AHEAD Biostatistics Core aims to enhance the quality and integrity of research by:

• Offering expert guidance in study design and data collection.
• Providing customized statistical consultation and analysis.
• Conducting rigorous statistical analyses.
• Assisting in the interpretation of results and preparing them for publication.
• Collaborating on grant applications and research proposals.
