Arts Council Launch Set for February 2

All SLU students, faculty, and staff are invited to the launch of the new Arts Council. The council aims to advocate for the arts as an essential element of the SLU mission and experience.

The launch is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 2,  in the  Anheuser-Busch Auditorium in Cook Hall.

The event will feature brief presentations about the aims and the activities of its members from the SLU Museums, the St. Louis Literary Awards, and Art History, Music, Studio Art, and Theatre and Dance programs in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts. Attendees are invited to brainstorm about how the group can expand the impact of the arts across campus through collaborations and connections. 

Arts at SLU aims to be inclusive and welcoming and invites additional members to join the Council. Anyone interested in serving should contact Cathleen Fleck.
