RaceTalk as a Skill: Workshop for Instructors Is February 9

On Friday, Feb. 9, Bedelia Richards, Ph.D., will be on campus leading a workshop on RaceTalk skills.
The workshop is for undergraduate and graduate faculty and instructors. Attendees will learn how to improve their students' racetalk skills and gain strategies to support all students in engaging in cross-racial dialogues.
Faculty will create a personalized "RaceTalk as a Skill" lesson plan with support from Richards.
Each workshop runs form 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Workshop has limited seating with priority given to those who plan to attend both. Lunch will be provided.
The workshop is supported by the Reinert Center for Transformational Teaching & Learning, The Doerr Center for Social Justice, and the Division for Diversity and Innovative Community Engagement.
