Staff Advisory Committee Announces New Executive Board

The Staff Advisory Committee (SAC) at Saint Louis University has announced its 2024-25 executive board. The new officers will start or continue their duties on July 1.

The Chair will be Chris Luebbert. Luebbert has been at SLU for over 25 years working at both at the Medical School (Surgery Administration and Medical Compliance) and North Campus (Public Policy Studies, Education, and now Research).

Luebbert is currently the Project Manager for the Office of the Vice President for Research. She has a master's in health administration from Washington University School of Medicine and am currently working on a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration at SLU. She has been a member of Staff Advisory Committee (SAC) for many years and served as the Corresponding Secretary (2022-23) and is currently serving as a staff liaison for Mission and Ministry. 

The Recording Secretary is Avery Levinger. Levinger has worked at SLU for nearly two and a half years as an Administrative Assistant in the Office of Curricular Affairs at the School of Medicine. She oversees the day-to-day operations of the first year of the Pre-Clerkship phase of the M.D. program. 

Levinger's passion lies in fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace culture where every staff member feels empowered to contribute their ideas and talents. She has a deep commitment to ensuring that all voices are heard and respected, and she is adept at facilitating discussions that lead to meaningful outcomes, showing unwavering dedication to serving the best interests of our staff community. 

The Membership Coordinator is Jennifer Elwyn. Elwyn has worked at Saint Louis University for a combined 11 years. She was the Program Coordinator for Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy from 2011-2016 and then returned to SLU in 2018 as the Administrative Assistant to the Chair of Biology.

She currently work as the Program Coordinator for Neuroscience. She has a B.A. in Creative Writing (2003) from SIU Carbondale and a MSW from the SLU School of Social Work (2016). She prides myself on being organized and one step ahead of my supervisor’s requests.

The Staff Advisory Committee (SAC) seeks to communicate the interest and concerns of a diverse University staff to the administration and faculty and support them with its knowledge, skills, and abilities; to function in an advisory capacity in the development, review and implementation of University policies which affect staff; and to create and nurture a spirit of unity among all employees at the University.
