Undergraduate Writing Award And "Inspired By" Arts Showcase Open for Submissions

Calling all writers and artists — the Undergraduate Writing Award competition and the "Inspired By" Arts Showcase are now open for submission.
To participate in the Undergraduate Writing Award competition, submit a piece of short fiction by Friday, March 29. Submissions must be 5,000 words or less, in English, and unpublished.
There is a limit of two entries per person. Entries are judged anonymously.

To participate in the "Inspired By" Arts Showcase, submit a work of art that connects to a theme from a work of Jamaica Kincaid by Friday, March 22.
Submissions must include a brief statement (no more than 400 words) describing the theme/message of the piece and how it relates to a work of Jamaica Kincaid’s.
Artwork may be a written work (no more than 1,000 words) such as poetry, fiction or nonfiction, a script, etc.; a performance piece such as film, dance/choreographic displays, original music/lyrics/compositions, etc. (no more than 12 minutes long); or visual and other non-digital pieces such as photographs (digital or print copies), collages, paintings, sculptures, drawings, etc.
