Next Friday Mass and Speaker Series Event Is October 4

09/19/2024

This fall the Division for Mission and Identity at SLU will offer the Friday Mass and Speaker Series.  The event begins with a noon Mass at Boileau Hall followed by lunch and a speaker in the main meeting room.

The focus of the talks will be the "Universal Apostolic Preferences" of the Society of Jesus.

The next event is Friday, Oct. 4, and will focus on the Apostolic Preference to accompany young people in the creation of a hope-filled future. The guest speaker will be Paul Lynch, Ph.D.

Lynch teaches courses in rhetoric and writing, and he frequently offers courses in the University Core, including the Ignite Seminar. In 2023, he was named the Core’s Ignite Seminar Instructor of the Year. Lynch will share how the post-Jesuit university can accompany young people in the creation of a hope-filled future.

The event starts with Mass at noon followed by a lunch and lecture.

All Mass and Speaker series will take place in Boileau Hall. Interested attendees can register by filling out the Google form or emailing jesuitmission@slu.edu.
