SLU to Serve as Regional Summit Hub Host Site in National Event Around Healthcare Workforce Readiness
04/22/2025
The SLU Interprofessional Education Program and the Doisy College of Health Sciences are co-hosting an opportunity sponsored by the Association of Schools Advancing Health Professions (ASAHP). This initiative aims to foster dialogue between academic institutions and their healthcare industry partners to enhance collaboration and improve health outcomes.
The annual ASAHP Summits bring together leaders, faculty, and providers in-person at member institution “hubs.” These gatherings culminate in a virtual “harvest” session, where hub participants engage in a national-level conversation. The 2025 ASAHP Summit theme is Collaboration in Action - Engaging to Build Readiness for Interprofessional Clinical Practice.
SLU is one of several Summit Hub locations. Others include Birmingham, AL; Cincinnati, OH; Orlando, FL: and San Antonio, TX.
The SLU summit will be from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. The summit will take place in the Multipurpose Room of the Allied Health Professions Building.
