Age-Friendly Clinical Externship Coming Summer 2025

The Saint Louis University (SLU) Family Center on Healthy Aging Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP) is offering an Age-Friendly Clinical Externship in the summer of 2025.

This 8-week program provides early-career health and social service professionals immersive, hands-on clinical experience with older adult patients in medical, mental health, and community care settings. Ideal candidates are passionate individuals eager to improve care for older adults and work in a collaborative environment.

Program Details

Dates: June 9 – August 1
Duration: 8 weeks, 20 hours/week
Cost: Free; participants receive a $1,000 stipend
Training: Includes interprofessional learning and three half-day immersive training sessions
