Career Services Accepting SURGE Project Submissions
02/05/2025
Saint Louis University Career Services is now collecting Scholarly Undergraduate Research Grants and Experiences (SURGE) project submissions for the upcoming Academic Year 2025-2026.
SURGE provides a path to connect research assistants (student workers) with faculty who are conducting research, creative endeavors, and other scholarly projects at SLU. The program is open to all undergraduate students, and all faculty can submit project proposals.
Interested faculty members may complete the linked Qualtrics form, which is due by the close of business on Friday, Feb. 28, 2025.
Feel free to share this submission link with faculty colleagues across the university. Faculty will be notified in mid-March if their project has been selected for funding.
Examples of previous projects include a sculpture installation project through the Fine Arts Department, podcast creation with Theological Studies faculty, analysis of medieval seals through Digital Humanities, and experiments utilizing RNA through the Biology Department’s labs. This year, there are 25 student positions available.
Reach out to Career Services’ Experiential Learning Coordinator, Margaret McGuire, for additional questions and information.
