AHEAD Institute Services Introduces Credit System

The AHEAD Institute has introduced a credit system to support the research of all School of Medicine (SOM) faculty without impacting department funds. 

Through AHEAD's credit system, all full-time SOM faculty are eligible to use up to 50 hours (one credit) of AHEAD research support services per calendar year.  

Interested SOM faculty should first seek approval from their department chair. Once approval is granted, please proceed with a service request.  

Only full-time SOM faculty are eligible to participate in the credit system. One credit is equivalent to 50 hours of AHEAD services. Department chairs have autonomy in determining how to approve and distribute credits to their faculty. Anyone with questions about AHEAD services, should email ahead@health.slu.edu.
