Reinert Center Offers Faculty Workshop Series on Teaching, Learning, and Neurodiversity
01/21/2025
The Reinert Center is offering Winter Institute Wednesdays, a workshop series for faculty that will take place from noon to 1 p.m. on Zoom. This workshop series will highlight a shared set of definitions and approaches surrounding neurodiversity and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
Each workshop will focus on specific elements of the updated guidelines for UDL as
they apply to teaching neurodiverse students. Participants are encouraged to bring
their own course materials (e.g., syllabi, assignments, exams) to apply strategies
and lessons learned throughout the series. While participants are encouraged to attend
all three, each workshop can stand on its own.
- Wednesday, Jan. 22: Making Course Material Accessible with the UDL Framework
- Wednesday, Jan. 29: Designing Transparent Assignments: UDL Strategies to Support Student Success
- Wednesday, Feb. 12: Designing for Emotion: Goal Setting and Knowledge Building
Faculty who are interested can find full descriptions, Zoom information, and registration links on the Reinert Center website.
