SLU to hold Second Celebration of Teaching

Saint Louis University will host its second Celebration of Teaching from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, in the Sinquefield Stateroom (DuBourg Hall 409).
The event features short, TED-style talks from SLU faculty who have won institution-level awards this year.
Speakers include:
- Jennifer Buehler, Ph.D. (School of Education) and Christina Garcia, Ph.D. (College of Arts and Sciences) were this year’s recipients of the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award. Garcia also will offer brief remarks about work for which she and Dan Nikolai, Ph.D., received the Reinert Center’s James H. Korn Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award.
- Neil Jansen (Chaifetz School of Business) was this year’s recipient of Alpha Sigma Nu’s Nancy McNeir Ring Award for Excellence in Teaching.
- Shannon Cooper-Sadlow, Ph.D. (School of Social Work) and Meadow Campbell, Ph.D. (Center for Anatomical Science and Education), were this year’s recipients of the University Core’s Ignite Instructor of the Year Award.
