Advisory Boards

At the Saint Louis University School for Professional Studies, we pride ourselves on the excellence of our faculty and staff. So, it is no surprise that we have gone the extra mile to put together industry boards for specific SLU academic programs.

These boards consist of business and community leaders who volunteer their time to set goals to improve the school. Our board members review student outcomes and trends in academic and professional fields, develop community service initiatives, increase the visibility of SPS programs, raise money for scholarships and develop external partnerships.

The Brewing Science and Operations Advisory Board assists our online brewing science and operations certificate program with academic direction and relationship building with other organizations. The goals of the advisory board are to:

  • Identify experiential learning opportunities for students, such as internships, cooperative programs, mentorships and course projects
  • Identify new and important trends in the brewing industry and their possible impacts on education, research and University service.
  • Provide input about career opportunities and industry expectations for students
  • Provide input and feedback on program-level initiatives and both short-and long-term planning
