Accreditation and Rankings

Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business Student

The Saint Louis University Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) and has repeatedly earned high ranks for our graduate and undergraduate programs by renowned national publications.

Our accounting program is also separately accredited by the AACSB, making the Chaifetz School one of only 186 in the world with dual accreditation.

The Chaifetz School has a tradition of education excellence since our founding in 1910. The school gained notoriety among business educational institutions in 1948 when we achieved AACSB International accreditation, the premier accreditation for business programs, and we have since worked tirelessly to maintain this highly esteemed honor.

Why Accreditation Matters

While many schools are members of AACSB or are recognized by it, SLU’s Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business is one of the few area schools that is accredited by the association.

Accreditation by AACSB International ensures continuous quality improvement in collegiate schools of business regarding the curriculum, instructional resources, student selection, career planning and placement, and the intellectual contributions and qualifications of the faculty.

AACSB International accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. Institutions that earn accreditation confirm their commitment to quality and continuous improvement through a rigorous and comprehensive peer review. AACSB International accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in management education.

What it Guarantees

AACSB International accreditation assures stakeholders that business schools:

  • Manage resources to achieve a vibrant and relevant mission
  • Advance business and management knowledge through faculty scholarship
  • Provide high-caliber teaching of quality and current curricula
  • Cultivate meaningful interaction between students and a qualified faculty, and
  • Produce graduates who have achieved specified learning goals
