Later in June, she delivered keynote presentations at Nankai University in Tianjin, China; Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China; and Shanghai University in Shanghai. During this tour, she engaged with business school alumni in Beijing and Singapore, further strengthening ELI’s and SLU’s connections in Asia. At the Asia Academy of Management Conference in Malaysia, June 25-28, Tang served on the editor’s panel for the Doctoral Consortium and presented two papers, showcasing ELI’s research on innovation and entrepreneurial orientation.

In August, Tang's research on alertness was featured at the McGill International Entrepreneurship Conference in Finland. She also attended the Academy of Management (AoM) Conference in Chicago, serving on the editor’s panel for global scholars and presenting research on creativity, alertness, and emotion in entrepreneurship. The AoM conference also saw significant presence from our management faculty: Dean Jackson Nickerson delivered a compelling talk on human-made disasters; Jerome Katz, Ph.D., organized the Late Career Consortium; David Kaplan, Ph.D., chaired a session on innovative and experiential HR teaching; and Toschia Hogan, Ph.D., presented her research on followership and led a symposium on courage, where she presented Calls for Courage: Exploring Conceptualizations and Contexts for Courage at Work. Additionally, Hogan presented at the equity, inclusion, and diversity conference at the University of Seville, Spain, and participated in the third annual Tenure Project Conference at the University of Southern California.

Through these activities, the Emerson Leadership Institute has advanced its academic contributions and also strengthened its relationships with key international institutions. These efforts exemplify ELI’s mission to lead in global leadership education and research, setting the stage for further expansion and collaboration in the years to come.
