One-Time Volunteer Opportunities

Saint Louis University’s Center for Social Action promotes many forms of community engagement, from episodic service to more in-depth involvement. This list of one-time volunteer opportunities will help SLU students, faculty or staff make a difference based on your schedule and interests. Many are perfect for groups.

What: Volunteers are needed for Crossing Delmar Collaborative Projects, a friendly STEAM competition, creative writing workshops, and poetry slam for seventh graders. Volunteers will help students stay on task as they build machines with everyday objects, write and discuss poetry, and perform group poems.

What: Volunteers are needed to help with our Helping Hands Volunteer Club, where volunteers with and without Down syndrome help put together mailings, make cards, create decorations for events, and much more!

What: Volunteers are needed for our invasive species removal event along Busch Greenway. Volunteers will remove invasive species using handsaws and loppers. All equipment provided. No training needed. Good for individuals and small groups.
