Saint Louis University’s Center for Social Action promotes many forms of community engagement, from episodic service to more in-depth involvement. This list of one-time volunteer opportunities will help SLU students make a difference based on your schedule and interests.

What: Volunteers are needed for our Teen Night Social Event for youth with Down syndrome ages 13-17, helping them with activities and games.

Who: Girls on the Run St. Louis
What: Volunteers are needed for our end-of-season 5K in Forest Park. Help with all aspects of the event, including registration, course management, food/drinks, cheerleading, and activities.
When: Anytime 5:30 a.m. - 10 a.m., Saturday, May 11

What: Volunteers are needed for the annual National Stamp-Out Hunger food drive, collecting and sorting food goods that were donated at post offices.
When: Two separate shifts available, either Noon - 4 p.m. or 3 - 7 p.m., Saturday, May 11.

What: Volunteers are needed for the 114th May Day Parade in Downtown St. Louis, an annual tradition celebrating Annie Malone and the St. Louis community.
When: Sunday, May 19 with various shifts available. 
Where: Downtown St. Louis - specific locations will vary by assignment.

What: Volunteers are needed for our annual Masquerade Gala fundraiser, assisting with setup as well as all aspects of the event.

Who: LifeWise STL 
What: Volunteers are needed for our summer Freedom School, working with small groups of youth grades K-10 on a variety of summer enrichment activities and classes under the oversight of a staff member. Activities can involve yoga, exercise, cooking, science, writing and more!   
When: 1 - 3 p.m., Weekdays  June 17 through July 26 (Volunteers only need to commit to one day per week).
