Tracking Class of 2017 Graduates Across the Globe
A year and a half after graduating from SLU-Madrid, the Class of 2017 graduates are working and studying across the globe. Of the 70 students who graduated in 2017, 91 percent have updated Career Services Coordinator Patrice Burns on their endeavors: 95 percent are either working, volunteering or continuing their education, and they reside in 22 different countries.
The majority of currently employed graduates are in business fields, followed by communications and education. Companies, institutions and organizations now employ our graduates in:
- The Republic of Georgia (Deloitte CIS)
- Bulgaria (the American College of Sofia)
- Saudi Arabia (Ministry of Higher Education)
- Trinidad and Tobago (Caribbean Interpreting and Translation Bureau)
- Switzerland (Swisscom)
- Morocco (National Human Rights Council)
- Kenya (PowerSpot)
- The United Arab Emirates (Katalyze)
- South Korea (Interpark)
Alumni also reside in Spain and the United States, working for companies such as Ernst & Young, Coldwell Banker West, Catholic Charities Migration & Refugee Service, Cigna, Andabank, and Atlantis. In addition, graduates have reported working as teachers, volunteering with the Peace Corps, and even monitoring the scarlet macaw population in the Peruvian Amazon.
Members of the Class of 2017 are also pursuing advanced degrees at top universities around the world, including Cambridge University in England, IE Business School in Spain, the UN University for Peace in Costa Rica, the University of Glasgow in Scotland, and the University of North Carolina - Charlotte in the U.S.
Our alumni have truly become men and women for others, helping to improve the lives of many and applying their knowledge in the workplace and their academic pursuits. Whatever path they have chosen, SLU-Madrid is proud of each graduate.
