SLU-Madrid Welcomes Fall 2020 Students
08/28/2020
In preparation for the Fall 2020 semester, SLU-Madrid has designed an inclusive hybrid programming model that accommodates on-campus and remote students both inside and outside the classroom. The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged us to innovate new ways to prioritize the health and safety of our community while continuing to offer our students rigorous academics and a transformative international experience.
This semester’s Welcome Sessions and activities will be delivered online or in groups of no more than 10 people. The Student Life staff and Campus Ambassadors will serve as guides to help new students get to know Madrid and learn about the resources available to them on campus. From Madrid walking tours and museum visits, to a dance party and a movie night via Zoom, the program of activities has also been designed to help both Madrid-based and remote students get to know one another.
Families are encouraged to join us virtually for the Class of 2024 and Transfer Student
Convocation ceremony, which will live stream on Zoom at 5 p.m. on Sunday, September
13 (Madrid time).
Detailed information about the Welcome Sessions and activities for new and returning
students (both Madrid-based and remote) is available in the Fall Welcome 2020: Schedule of Events.
