Zika Vaccine Trial (18-49 Years Old)

Saint Louis University Center for Vaccine Development is looking for volunteers 18-49 years old for an experimental ZIKA vaccine trial.

Purpose of the Study

Zika is a virus transmitted by mosquitoes and also person to person via sexual contact. A large outbreak began in the Americas in 2015. It now has been reported in more than 35 countries in South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The majority of Zika infections cause no illness. However, studies have found that Zika infections during pregnancy can cause serious birth defects.

Therefore, because of this public health issue, a zika vaccine is needed.
