College Deadlines 2024-2025
Below is a chronological list of important deadlines, plus links to required forms and applications.
When the date falls on a weekend, the deadline date is extended to the following Monday.

September
September 1: Deadline for all tenure, promotion, sabbatical, and emeritus candidate names to be submitted by this Google form, CAS Phased and Retirement Requests to dean’s office, Chris Pudlowski (chris.pudlowski@slu.edu).
September 5: Deadline for Emerson nominations to be submitted in single PDF to dean’s office (jennifer.popiel@slu.edu).
September 15: Sabbatical applications deadline. Submit by using this Google form, Sabbatical and NTT Developmental Leave Application Form to the dean’s office, Chris Pudlowski (chris.pudlowski@slu.edu).

October 1: Rank and Tenure Dossiers and Emeritus Applications deadline. Submit using the Google form, Rank and Tenure or Emeritus Application Form to the dean’s office, Chris Pudlowski (chris.pudlowski@slu.edu).
October 1: Knoedler Student Research Award applications (round 1 of 4) deadline.
October 1: Mellon applications deadline. Submit using this Google form, Mellon Application, to the dean’s office, Chris Pudlowski (chris.pudlowski@slu.edu).

December 1: Provost Faculty Research Leave Proposal (PDF). Submit notification of intent to apply to department chairs.
December 1: Knoedler Student Research Award applications (round 2 of 4) deadline.
December 1: Adjunct Appointment Offers for Spring provided to Adjunct Faculty.
December 1: Department Merit evaluation rubric revisions deadline. Submit to dean’s office, Associate Dean Dan Kozlowski (dan.kozlowski@slu.edu)
December 10: Nominations for Faculty and Staff Excellence Awards deadline. Submit to dean’s office.
December 15: Full application for Provost Faculty Research Leave Proposal (PDF) deadline. Submit to department chairs.
December 18: Dissertation fellowship application deadline.
December 31: Faculty annual activity reports deadline. Submit to department chairs. Some departments may require earlier internal submission of these reports, so follow department regular practice.
2025
January
January 12: Staff self-evaluation completed in Workday. (HR tentative date)
January 15: Department of Human Resources advances all staff reviews to the manager rating phase. (HR tentative date)
January 19: Diversity Graduate Fellowship applications candidate deadline.
January 19: Presidential Graduate Fellowship applications candidate deadline.
January 20: Provost Faculty Research Leave Proposals (PDF) deadline. Department chairs submit to dean’s office. Provost Faculty Research Leave Program.
January 31: Chairs’ and program directors’ annual activity reports deadline. Submit to the dean’s office, Chris Pudlowski (chris.pudlowski@slu.edu).
January 31: CAS Thesis and Dissertation Award self-nominations deadline. Submit to dean’s office, Associate Dean Jennifer Popiel (jennifer.popiel@slu.edu)
February
February 1: New courses/programs and course/program changes must have been approved through all applicable curriculum committees for inclusion in upcoming academic catalog.
February 1: Course ree additions/changes for next academic year deadline. Course Change Form
February 9: Nominations for university fellowships due by 5 p.m. to Graduate Education (graduateeducation@slu.edu). Each graduate program can forward one nomination for the Diversity Fellowship and one nomination for the Presidential Fellowship.
February 15: Signed, hard copies and electronic copies of Chair's Review of Faculty Annual Activity Reports (including their year reviews) and individual Faculty Annual Activity Reports, including Blue course evaluations, deadline. Submit to dean's office, Chris Pudlowski (chris.pudlowski@slu.edu).
February 15: Knoedler Student Research Award applications (round 3 of 4) deadline.
February 20: James D. Collins Outstanding Senior Award names deadline. Submit to dean’s office, Sabrina LeBlanc (artssci@slu.edu).
