GME-AHEAD Research Training Program

The AHEAD Institute, in collaboration with the Office of Graduate Medical Education, is excited to announce the launch of its latest partnership with the SSM Health/Saint Louis University School of Medicine Residency and Fellowship Program this spring.

This partnership allows house staff (residents and fellows) across all programs to have access to research training and analytic support through a competitive grant process to complete their required scholarship.

Paula Buchanan, Ph.D., director for AHEAD consulting and training services, has developed a series of asynchronous, online training modules focused on best research practices for house staff (residents and fellows) to complete prior to working with the analytic team. The AHEAD Institute's blend of faculty mentorship, skilled data managers and biostatisticians, and the clinical expertise of SSM Health/SLU faculty will enhance the learning experience and research contributions of all participants.

Interested residents and fellows should review the GME-AHEAD Research Training Program requirements and complete the application. Approval by the Office of Graduate Medical Education is required to secure your spot in this program. Applications will reopen in July 2024.
